Comic Book Hideout opened in Fullerton in 2012 as a shop for people who were told comics weren’t for them — and for the people who never stopped believing they were. The mission is simple: a safe, loud, welcoming room packed with stories.

Every week the wall fills with new Marvel, DC, Image, and indie issues. The longboxes run deep. There are games on the tables, figures on the shelves, handmade goods from local makers, and a music studio for anyone who wants to make some noise after they finish a trade.

New to comics? Tell us the last story you loved — a movie, a novel, a Saturday-morning cartoon — and we’ll put a book in your hands. Sitting on a collection? We buy and appraise by appointment. Looking for one missing issue? Leave a list. If it isn’t here today, it may walk in tomorrow.
